Event Rentals


All prices are on a per person basis and subject to taxes and services unless otherwise specified. Prices quoted are guaranteed for 30 days and are subject to change without notice. Guaranteed number of guests must be provided to the office 1 week prior to the scheduled function. You will be billed for your guaranteed number plus any additional meals served.


Under the copyright act of Canada – tariff #8 SOCAN, functions using a disc jockey or live entertainment will be charged $55.75 + HST on functions with dancing or $28.75 + HST without dancing.  Any questions or concerns with respect to the above charge can be forwarded to 1-800-557-6226.

Hall Rental & Non-Refundable Deposit Fees

The following non-refundable deposit hall rental fees will apply:

  • Ballroom A-B: $ 1500.00
  • Ballroom A: $ 750.00
  • Ballroom B: $ 750.00
  • The Atrium: $ 200.00
  • Fogolar Lounge: $ 350.00
  • Lounge II: $ 150.00
  • The Library: $ 175.00
  • The Social Room: $ 175.00

Payment is due upon completion of the function unless arrangements have been made with Management. 50% of the anticipated bill is due and payable 7 days prior to the scheduled function. Final payment is due immediately upon completion of the function. Interest will be charged on all overdue accounts at a rate of 2% per month.

A deposit must be submitted in order to hold the room. In the event of cancellation, the deposit is not refundable.

Meal Selection

Menu selection must be submitted to the office at least two weeks prior to the function. At this time you will be asked to give an estimated number of guests expected and food and beverage requirements. The guaranteed number of guests attending must be provided 1 week prior to the scheduled function. These numbers will be used for billing purposes. You will be charged for your guaranteed number plus any additional meals served.


With the exception of sweets and fruit, all food served must be provided by The Marconi Cultural Event Centre. ***No extra charge for baking already on trays ***$100.00 fee for baking that needs to be trayed ***All entertainment will cease at 1:00 a.m. in order to vacate all function rooms.  There will be a charge of $750.00 if the entertainment continues past 1:00 a.m..

Room Setup

Linen tablecloths and napkins are included. (Choice of white, brown or black)
***A floor plan will be provided to the convener to ensure accurate set up of the function.

Decorating Policy

The decorator is responsible for the set up and removal of all decorations.  All items must be removed at the end of the function unless arranged otherwise.  

NOT ALLOWED:  The use of tacks, tape or nails to adhere any items to the walls or ceilings. 

ALLOWED: Floating candles are allowed to be used in your décor.
